| Sayville Firefighters were recently alerted to a report of a structure fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters immediately went into action, entering the smoke-filled dwelling, searching for occupants, and locating a working fire in the basement. A hoseline was quickly stretched while a search of the premises for any victims or fire extension was conducted. The fire was rapidly knocked down.
Thankfully, all occupants were safe and accounted for. Firefighters remained on scene to thoroughly ventilate the home.
